There is nothing that is comparable to it, as satisfactory or as thrilling, as gathering the vegetables one has grown.

Vegetables, Fruit & Herbs

Swansons carries an extensive selection of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and edible flowers for the home garden. Fruit trees and berries begin to appear in February, followed by cool-season vegetables like lettuce, peas, asparagus, and hardy herbs. In April and May, warm-season vegetables arrive: tomatoes, squash, peppers, basil, and many more. Mid-summer to fall is the time to plant more leafy greens, herbs, onions, and garlic. In fact, you’ll find edible plants and seeds nearly year-round at Swansons.

Gardening Supplies

The right supplies can make growing food easier and more successful. Food crops need lots of nutrients so amend your garden soil with rich compost, fill your containers with high-quality potting soil, and feed your plants with natural fertilizers formulated especially for fruit, vegetables, and herbs. Soaker hoses help conserve water and make sure your plants never go thirsty. Trellises and cages help climbing plants grow tall and save garden space. Tools for cold protection allow you to plant your warm-season vegetables earlier in spring - a must for PNW gardeners!
