So here we are again my friends, but you know what they say about birds of a feather, right? Beyond the cardboard wall big things are afoot for our intrepid little brood. The chicks are literally growing like weeds so we've recently opened things up to give the girls more room to move about. We don't want them feeling too "cooped up" (pun intended)!
We also have the results of our name-the-chicks contest. Out of hundreds of entries we drew four winning names:
Guido (the Silver Leghorn)
Lulu Jr. (the Gold Wyandotte)
Georgia (the Dominique)
Caramel Fluff (the New Hampshire Red)
Cute names indeed, although a pullet by any other name would smell as sweet. Hmmm... still be just as cute!
Check out this video of our curious chicks, who come to see what this iPhone thing is. Apparently, it's not too exciting because they quickly lose interest and run off to find new adventures!
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who participated. See you in the woodchips and happy brooding!
