Ever wonder what Curley the camel does when he's not visiting with us during the holidays? We thought we would give you a little peek into one of his travels:
In January, Curley flew south to visit the country of Guatemala.
After relaxing in the beautiful, historic town of Antigua...
... he set out to spend time with the indigenous people who live in the highlands of Guatemala.
The colorful huipils of the women are woven by hand and show their pride in their culture.
Life is basic: tortillas are cooked over a wood fire.
Curley tried learning to make tortillas, it was harder than he thought.
Clothes are washed by hand in a shallow sink called a pila.
Everyone heads to town (San Jose Poaquil) to buy food on market day.
Curley especially enjoyed meeting the warm, welcoming people.
What a fabulous vacation!
Curley's already planning his next vacation. We can't wait to see what he does next!
