Swansons is Thankful

There’s no need to say that 2020 has been an incredibly difficult year. We have distanced ourselves from loved ones, adapted to ever-changing circumstances, waiting anxiously for news, and wished for a return to normality. But we have also seen our community come together to care for, support, and comfort each other. We have seen true bravery and strength. We have cultivated kindness and patience.

This Thanksgiving, we at Swansons feel so much gratitude towards our customers, our community, and each other. We’d like to share some of the things we are especially thankful for.

I am thankful that my family is weathering this difficult time in health, school, and work and that Swansons is navigating the storm as well. I feel fortunate that I am able to go to work at such a wonderful place.
— Karen
I’m thankful for good health and for the feeling of connection and support that I have with my community.
— Liane
I am grateful for the right to vote, to peacefully protest, to love who I want, and be loved in return.
— Barrie
I am thankful for the many holidays I had with my family. Cherish every moment, they go by quickly.
— Marina
I am thankful that I can be close to my family and tell them I love them every day.
— Aimée
I’m thankful for the bounty of my community P-Patch this year. It kept giving and giving, and still is! The produce fed me well, and there was plenty to share with the food bank.
— Doug
My favorite word is ‘Thanks.’ Thanks, Swansons folks, for creating a safe place to work during a scary time in human history.
— Tyson
I am grateful for all the heroes I work with. We have an incredible team that values life. They will drop everything to hand-feed an exhausted hummingbird, relocate a tree frog hiding in a soil pallet, transfer a cold, immobile bumblebee to safety, or comfort an overheated pup with cool water.
— Tracy
I’m thankful for my new kitty!
— Anonymous cat lover
I want to say just how thankful I am for life!
— Geoffery
I am thankful for friends, family, fur babies, and healthcare workers helping me survive this stressful year and making us connected and closer from 6 feet apart.
— Nancy
I am thankful for my cats, Jean and Willie, who will likely be my only companions this Thanksgiving.
— Mollie
I’m thankful for a family that is understanding and flexible in the face of all the restrictions and disruptions this year. Even if we can’t gather in person, still we laugh and celebrate the life we have! I’m also thankful for a recent medical crisis that my mother passed with flying colors. The health care professionals out there are truly heroes every day.
— Dan
I am so thankful for the Swansons Team. They support and care for each other and our customers. This year has shown their resilience and their ability to do just about anything. I am proud to work with them each and every day.
— Leslie
I am thankful for my job. I would be lost - and broke - without it. I am so thankful for how strong the company and it’s employees are; that we rose to the occasion of unimaginable improvisation and adaptability during this impossible year. The resilience of everyone here, and of Swansons, is not lost on me.
— Katy
The best moment of my day is an act of kindness.
— Michelle

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Swansons!
