With over 634 pounds of food collected (we started with a bin, moved to a cart, and ended up filling 2 racks with donations!), funds raised for the Ballard Food Bank, and happy guests enjoying a beautiful evening at the nursery, last Thursday's Summer Nights at Swansons event was a huge success!
We were so pleased to be able to collaborate with the Ballard Food Bank and help support such an important local institution. Thank you to their great staff and volunteers for helping with the planning and execution of 'Summer in Seattle'! You may have met some of them Thursday evening: Jen Muzia, Executive Director, and two Board Member Directors, Tom Bernard (left) and Rebecca Butler (far right).
We would also like to thank our fabulous partners and participants, who helped make this event such an enjoyable evening for our guests: Hot Dog King and Danielle's Crêpes brought yummy food and each donated a portion of the night's proceeds to the Food Bank! Ballard's very own Hilliard's Beer generously donated the evening's delicious beverages, and our trio of Musicians - Sandy Carbary, Alex Dyring, and Brad Benefield - kept guests entertained and in a party mood. A big thank you to our staff, who greeted guests, opened beers, and helped customers. We can't forget to thank Whole Foods Market for donating a scrumptious BBQ basket as a raffle prize, and our behind-the-scenes partner, Curator PR, for getting the word out there about 'Summer Nights at Swansons' events!
But most of all, we would like to thank our amazing Swansons' customers, for coming out and supporting a great cause with us. We had a lot of fun and we hope you did, too!
