We’re always excited to learn about what our friends and customers are up to in the garden. Finding out what other gardeners are thinking about and doing inspires us. Conversations lead to new ideas and new ways of gardening. What are you up to in the garden this fall? Are you contemplating any projects? We’d love to hear all about it!

Planting a Parking Strip Garden
In part 1, we reviewed the basics of planning a large planting project, from checking the availability of light and water (Step One: Evaluate Your Space) to determining your gardening style and how much you can accomplish with your budget (Step Two: Make a Plan). This week it's time for Step Three! Let's look at what we did here at Swansons to advance our Autumn Project: planting our parking strip.
Designing a Parking Strip Garden
September is Autumn Project Month at Swansons Nursery and we know that early autumn is the best time to tackle those planting projects you've been meaning to do. The air and soil are still warm but the rains are coming - a perfect balance for new and transplanted plants to grow, become established before winter, and thrive next year and beyond. We've been busy helping you with your autumn projects and now we're doing one of our own: designing and planting our parking strip.
