On Saturday evening, September 12th, Swansons Nursery hosted Ladies' Night Out, a fabulous annual event with wine, food, live music, and displays of local artisans. Over 200 guests enjoyed the lovely ambience of a Seattle summer evening, excited to see proceeds from the event benefit Teen Feed.
Kathy, a Swansons' plant expert and Teen Feed volunteer, was one of the passionate individuals who helped to make this benefit partnership a reality. We were honored to work with Teen Feed to support their important mission: “To offer support to meet basic needs, build strong relationships, and ally with homeless youth as they meet their future off the streets.” A special "thank you" to the Teen Feed staff and volunteers for helping us accomplish such an enjoyable night to aid such a worthy cause.
We also would like to thank our vendors who helped make Ladies' Night Out such a success! Rave reviews circled about The Biscuit Box’s delicious savory and sweet smothered biscuits; Cupcake Royale brought delightful mini cupcakes; Batdorf and Bronson Coffee Roasters kept us going strong with their exquisite blends. The brilliant jazz trio, The DjangoMatics, provided the soundtrack for guests to shop, eat, and explore our five acres of flora and fun!
Another "thank you!" must be sent to our friends at our neighborly QFC, for their continued support in the community; we appreciated Anna's help pouring wine throughout the night for eager guests! This valuable relationship helps us continue to donate as much as we can to organizations like Teen Feed.
Ladies Night Out also featured an array of creative displays and demonstrations by local artisans – Shannon Martin Girl Designer, The Boma Collection, Coco + Carmen, Pandemonium, and Theo’s Chocolates – all were highlights of the evening as guests browsed their showcases of jewelry, accessories, and handcrafted apparel with wine in hand. Thank you all!
We can’t forget to mention the drawing with more than a dozen prizes! In addition to (Swansons' designer) Inger's wonderful terrariums and planted containers, we were pleased to give away generous prizes donated by our friends at Batdorf and Bronson, Seasons Café, Todo Bien Wellness Center, many of our visiting artisans, and more!
As the final event of our Summer Nights at Swansons series, Ladies' Night Out was a blast! And last, but not least... a huge "THANK YOU" to all of our guests for joining us to help make Ladies' Night Out a great party for a great cause!
